I was born in Minnesota, when my parents were 17.  My mom and I lived with my grandparents until she finished high school, with my dad visiting as often as possible.  They got married when I was two, and have been together ever since.

When I was old enough, I spent summers with my maternal grandparents, at their resort in Nisswa, Minnesota.  I swam and explored and worked all summer long, coming home to the twin cities in time to go back to school in the fall.

My childhood was full of reading, singing and imagining - I was the type of child who enjoys her own company, and I was constantly making up pretend games to play.  I still have an active imagination, and I love to read and to sing.

I also love crafts!  I design quilt patterns and love the process of making quilts.  I also dabble in knitting and beading - though quilting is my passion.

I went to college twice - once to St. Olaf for Chemistry, where I sang in the St. Olaf Choir, and once to the University of Minnesota for Biomedical Engineering.

Currently, I work as a Business Systems Analyst (neither a chemist nor an engineer) and I love my job.  I am one of the technical troubleshooters for our database.

I was born in the Great Lakes Naval Hospital just north of Chicago.   My dad was in the navy and shortly after I was born, my dad was transferred to San Diego.   My parents divorced when I was six years old and so I had a unique living arrangement.  I would spend summer with my dad in western Colorado and the rest of the year with my mom in San Diego.

As a kid I enjoyed riding my bike and playing with my friends.   My childhood was full of unique experiences; from flying in a small two seat plane, traveling around the country, to growing up near the ocean.

After graduating high school, I decided I wanted to be an accountant.   At San Diego State University I earned my Bachelor’s degree.   I moved to Minneapolis where some of my extended family lived at the start of my career.   I met new people including my wife.  I recently went back to school for my masters, became a CPA, and started my own CPA practice.

When I am not at work, I like to travel, ski, golf, and play video games.
